Specification

Works with
LK8 systems

A camera on its own, for an LK8 monitor already on the dash. The K19 sits in the license plate frame at bumper height, which is the view you want for parking: the bumper, the curb, the bollard nobody can see over a tailgate. It pairs with the LK8 and with nothing else, and the code is printed on the back of your monitor.

Adding it is not a job at the front of the vehicle. The monitor already takes a second camera and puts both pictures on the screen together. The work is at the back, where the camera needs power at that end, and the choice you make there decides whether the second view appears only in reverse or stays with you while you drive.

A camera shows you what is behind the vehicle. It does not stop the vehicle, it does not watch for you, and it cannot see what is not in the picture: a child crouched against the bumper, a bollard below the lens, a cyclist arriving from the side. Federal rear-visibility rules exist because reversing kills and injures people every year, and the bodies that write those rules ask drivers to look, to walk around the vehicle and to reverse slowly whatever is fitted. Nothing on this site is a substitute for any of that.
