The cheapest complete kit in the catalog, and the shortest way to a picture on a car that never had one. A 4.3-inch monitor, a license plate camera, and fifteen feet of cable between them. The monitor takes the 12V socket and the camera takes the reversing light. The picture appears the moment the car goes into reverse and disappears when it comes out.
Parking lines are adjustable, so they can be set to your own bumper rather than left where somebody else's drawing put them. White LEDs keep the picture in color after dark, and the housing is rated IP69. Fifteen feet is enough for a hatchback and short for anything longer, so measure the route before you order: along the sill, up the A-pillar, around the tailgate hinge, plus a foot of slack at each end.

A camera shows you what is behind the vehicle. It does not stop the vehicle, it does not watch for you, and it cannot see what is not in the picture: a child crouched against the bumper, a bollard below the lens, a cyclist arriving from the side. Federal rear-visibility rules exist because reversing kills and injures people every year, and the bodies that write those rules ask drivers to look, to walk around the vehicle and to reverse slowly whatever is fitted. Nothing on this site is a substitute for any of that.
